I spend an enjoyable hour or so at Lezayre on Saturday and enjoyed a cup of tea from Margy and Juan who are in charge at that check-in and spoke with Martin Stone from SPORTident, Judith Lay from Manx Radio and Simon Clarke even interviewed me for Manx Radio.
But it still baffles me why 52 people retired there. The previous checkers had to wait from 1974 until 2001 to record that many retirements!
